Highlights of the Week :)

Ok, so I'm going to make an effort to do a quick rundown of my week and post some highlights. Bulleted list begins here......
  • Monday was a lazy day! I worked all day, boooo! Wait....it gets better! We went to the tanning bed after work and on the way home we were passing a gas station and I notice that the cop has someone pulled over in the parking lot. I started to say "Oh, that sucks...." and I saw it was DUNCAN! It made my night. Thanks to handy little public records laws in this lovely state, his ticket was posted on Tuesday morning....I present to you Exhibit A (a.k.a. His charges/infractions blah blah blah).....
  • I don't know why it's so small, and if I make it bigger it distorts the image.
For those of you who are like myself and blind-as-a-bat, he got a ticket for not wearing his seat belt and for operating a vehicle without insurance. I don't know what idiot would drive a vehicle without insurance, let alone not wear a seat belt and drive a vehicle without insurance. Nothing like calling a little attention to your self. Anyway....this made my Monday!
  • Class on Monday was great too. It's a large class with 150 students. Apparently we had some students sitting in on the class who were not actually registered. The professor called us to the front of the room and had us show our ID's. After she saw our ID she was done. Thank goodness I'm at the beginning of the alphabet! :) I actually got to go to lunch with the regular lunch group.
  • Tuesday was exciting....kinda. I had my usual 8 am class. I think there should be a rule against Public Speaking at 8 am.....I'm just saying...it SUCKS! However, I took my notes and managed to keep my eyes open. After class I had to head to a big, new fancy hotel for a trade show of promotional products. Can you say FUN!!!???!!! I had a great time. I came home with about 45 different pens, a purse mirror (every girl needs one) and some other useless junk. I like freebies! While I was out on that side of town I managed to get the oil changed in my car and make it by the doctors office for a lovely shot I have been putting off for a month. I hate needles.
  • Today, Wednesday. Blah. The day hasn't really begun. Heck, it's 6:30 in the morning. I'm at work which means I'm supposed to be working, but I'm not. Blogging is more fun. Ha ha. They're promoting carpool today. They gave us all $5 gift cards to Sta*rbucks when I was dropped off by my Mom and our carpool buddy. I get front door service because they work across campus at a different building. I know, I'm spoiled. I came in early to get some stuff done, but it's soooooo not happening. I have to go to the Health Center on campus and turn in my immunization records today. I'm glad I work here, it makes it easier.
  • Let me tell you my immunization records story. Ok. So.....I signed up for 6 credit hours. Anything over 4 credit hours requires immunization records for first time students. Meaning after I turn these records in, I will never have to turn any more immunizations in! :) I get the e-mail and the letter in the the mail that says I need to turn all my paperwork in by September 11th. I get all the records together on Monday and I decide to walk over and turn them in. Not so simple. I walk in the door, I wasn't sure I was in the right place because there were students sitting everywhere in this little room. I ask the 'nice-receptionist-lady' if I'm in the right place to turn in my immunization records. She doesn't give me a clear yes or no, she just hands me a post-it* note with the number 84 on it and tells me to take a seat and they will call my number so they can go over the records with me. I crumbled the paper up and threw it out on my way out the door. CAN THEY MAKE THIS PROCESS ANY MORE INCONVENIENT???? First, they give us this strict deadline, and now they want to go over them individually with me and I have to wait in line to do this?!??!???! I don't think so! I'm going back today at 8 am. Hopefully everybody else decides to sleep in. :)
  • Tomorrow is THURSDAY! My last day of work for this week! We're leaving for PA right after work. We have the bridal shower and bachelorette party for my future SIL this weekend. Y'ay! The local fair, which was the 'event of the summer' when I was little, is going on this week. Y'ay! (Can you tell I'm excited?!?!)

Ok. Enough blabbering. I have work to do.

Happy Wednesday! :)
