An Epiphany!?!

I think I had an epiphany while I was sitting in my Intro to Communication Theory class on Monday. I have decided that I am excited about college and I really want to try hard and do well. My professor is a Ph.D. and she is just like me. I want to be her one day, standing up there overflowing with knowledge. It's exciting to think that if I apply myself to my studies, I will be doing the same thing in a couple years! :)

School has been great so far. I'm taking 2 classes: Intro to Communication Theory and Public Speaking. I had to do my first speech for Public Speaking today. It was fun!

Work has been slow. I had to leave early on Tuesday to get my immunization records picked up from the Board of Education by 5 pm. Do y'all know how hard it is to get immunization records?!?!? I'm 21 years old and I call my doctors office to ask how I go about getting copies of my records. The very nice secretary lady told me that I would have to call the office that administered the shots. WHAT? That was 18 years ago, or even longer!!!! Luckily, the high school I attended included the records on my transcript so I just had to go to the Board of Education and get a copy of it.

It's been incredibly hot here lately, like between 95 and 100 for the last 2 weeks. One of my classes is Monday and Wednesday at lunch time and of course, it's on the other side of campus. I walked on Monday and took the bus on Wednesday. The bus took as long as walking, but I was sitting in the air conditioning. My other class is on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8-9:15. I always walk back from that class, it's on the other side of campus, but it's a nice walk at 9 in the morning. I can't wait until these temperatures cool down. It's been to hot to go outside and do anything. I can't even begin to tell you how dirty my car is.

I talked to Josh again on Tuesday. He called at 10:55 pm and I was sleeping. I remember bits and pieces of our conversation. I especially remember him telling me about this cool new shirt he bought that has an arrow pointing to his face that says "The Man" and an arrow pointing to his crotch that says "The Legend". MEN!?!? What makes them think that thing is legendary? Ha ha. He was so excited about it, it was pathetic. I'm thinking about buying him a shirt I saw last week "Half Horse. Half Man." I'm sure he would love it!

Well, I'm at work. That means I'm supposed to be doing something. I guess I better go.

Weight Watchers tonight, wish me luck!

RE WW - you don't need luck - you have been doing great!

RE: Men and stupid t-shirts.... that sounds about right.

Have a good week and enjoy your classes!
