I'm making my list, I'm checking it twice...

Alright, I'm officially in the Christmas spirit! It's about time.

Last night was spent laying on the couch with my boyfriend watching 'House'. When I got home to my house, I finished wrapping Christmas presents. I'm officially done! Everything is underneath the tree in the cutest order. I'm going to take a picture tonight, hopefully blogger will let me post it.

Now, I have a dreaded list of things I need to get done, and I have a great explanation.....remember how I was whining about my Christmas plans? My Mom wanted Christmas in the morning with me, but that's when Duncan's family does Christmas? Well, my Mom got her way. Duncan's family is doing Christmas on Christmas Eve for some unknown reason, therefore I will have Christmas with my family on Christmas morning. Remember me telling you about how I always make Christmas dinner? Yup, I'm doing that too. Christmas at my house, and Christmas dinner too. It's going to be a crazy day. My house must be in tip-top shape, not a speck of dust to be found. I've done the shopping and I have all the cleaning products I need. Now, I just have to lock my self in the house and get all this done:

____ Wash all the laundry.
(At this moment, there is not one clean town in the linen closet. However, there
is an entire load of clean towels in the dryer and a dirty load next to the washer. Plus, there are 3 loads of clothes that need to be washed and a basket to be folded and put away. I'm way behind in the laundry department!)
____ Put away the dishes & get some order to my cabinets.

(I have a dish rack full of clean dishes that has been 'drying' for a week. My cabinets look like a small child stood back and threw dishes and food into them. I know while I'm cooking dinner my Grandmother will be in there trying to help me, I don't want her opening the cabinet door and getting attacked by a flying object.)

____ Clean out my fridge

(My boyfriend decided he was going to try 'Red Stripe' beer, after 1 sip he decided it was nasty and now I have a bunch of stale beer in my fridge.)

____ Clean off the top of my fridge

(Why is it that the top of the fridge is the 'dumping ground' for all the little things you never use? I have candles up there that were sitting on the table, but had to be moved so we could eat. There is also a box of Christmas cards and some loose candy. I imagine that it needs a good dusting too.)

____ Scrub toilet, shower and sink in bathroom

(I use hairspray, who knew that stuff would stick to everything? My handy little shelf that was hanging on the all in the bathroom that took the plunge to the floor last week needs to be re-affixed to the wall. I must find a man with some power tools for help!)

____ Vacuum and polish every hardwood surface in the house

(For some unknown reason, hardwood floors attract dirt like crazy! I can sweep them today and tomorrow they will need it again.)

____ Dust every piece of furniture & decoration in the house

(I despise dusting with a passion, but alas it is something that needs to be done.)

____ Organize my computer desk & throw the trash out

(I have bills, credit card offers, and other junk mail that needs to be discarded. I should throw it away as soon as I get it, but I hate opening mail for fear it is a bill!)

____ Get some order to all my closets.

(My shoe closet is desperately lacking order. I've been opening the door and tossing shoes in, the linen closet is empty except for the bathroom caddy that has crap piled on top of it, really need to get that in order. My clothing closets in my bedroom are a different story. I have so many clothes that don't fit me that I need to put in containers for storage. I'm dreading doing it because I know my closet will be completely empty when I get done!)

That all, and it's a lot.

Oh, I have an announcement! Scott and Karrie officially became engaged last night, she is his fiance! :) I'm ready for a wedding, need to loose 30 more pounds before I jump into a dress, but I think I have time.

Have a great Wednesday, not much longer now!
Ash
