It's been a week.....

since my last post. I don't have anything really exciting to write about either.

We had a great time at the drag strip last Wednesday night, it was fun to watch the drivers and crew members compete against one another.

We did not end up going to the Haunted Park on Friday night. L had a family event that his dad really wanted him to go to. He went for a little while, then he called me to come get him because he was bored. We hung out at with my brother and SIL for awhile before I took him home.

Saturday was a quiet, lazy day until I had to go to work at 4. Sunday was another really lazy day. L, my SIL and I did some shopping and made the obligatory fall trip to grab a Pumpkin Spice Frapp from my favorite coffee place EVER! Then, on Sunday evening, I got the headache from hell that would not go away. I was up most of the night trying to get the pain to subside, to no avail. I got up Monday morning and called into work, then slept until Noon. Mom was feeling much of the same way, so we were home all day together. After some allergy medicine and some strong migraine pills, I am feeling much better.

My boss is out today. It should be a relatively quiet, nice day at work. I'm thinking about taking a 1/2 hour for lunch and eating soup quietly by myself. I love my Mom, but the rest of the lunch crowd is a bit annoying.

I don't have any obligations or plans for tonight. Tomorrow I am taking Community Service time so I can volunteer at the local elementary school, I am looking forward to spending the day with all the munchkins and teaching them about fire safety. I have to work job #2 tomorrow night too.

Thursday is much of the same as usual, work - then I need to attend a training class for the fire department so I get my required amount of training hours in for the year. I'm not looking forward to that, but it is required so I'm going to do it. :-)

We're going to attempt to go to the Haunted Park again this Friday, but we haven't confirmed our plans, so they're still up in the air.
