Is there something in the water?

Or is everyone just in a crappy mood?

Work has been hell for the last week. My boss has been on pins and needles. She has not worked a whole week in over a month. She constantly leaves early, takes a day off at the last minute, or disappears for hours at a time. If she makes a mistake she refuses to own up to it, but if others make a mistake (such as myself) she practically berates you and tells you how stupid you were to make a mistake. Pot calling the kettle black, ya think?

Without getting into the whole story and write an entire novel about my gripes with my job, I will give you a short explanation. My mom works for the same company I work for, however in a completely different department. Her department processes payments and makes sure they are within all the rules set forth by state and federal government. My department sent over some paperwork that was not within those guideline. Long before they did this, I warned them - I'm talking back in April. Now it's June and they're all mad because they claim they never knew. Then, not my boss - but my bosses boss has the audacity to come tell me that my moms department will not make decisions for his department. I had it. First, I wrote an e-mail to my boss and told her that I knew I had warned her and what she did with that information was her business, and I copied her boss. He wrote me a nasty e-mail back. Then I applied for jobs. I didn't stoop to his level and respond with a nasty e-mail. I'm getting my backup together, then I'm responding with a quick glimpse of the facts and requesting a meeting that will unveil all the truth and lay the matter to rest. He made the mistake of asking if I was implying there was miscommunication in our department, now he's getting an answer. I have not sent the e-mail yet, but I plan to by Friday, I need to draft it and re-read it several times to ensure it is solid and full of factual information.

On the other side of things, school is going well. I'm taking an online class this summer that requires me to post online everyday. It's like mandatory blogging. It's good practice!

More later....

(OK, I'm in LOVE with your template...pink and green are my favorites!!!!!)

I'm with Fantastagirl. I'm a bit better now but for the last month I've been walking around looking for puppies to kick (not literally of course)...

Good for you for covering your ass...and looking for jobs.

My old job was like that. What a pain in the ass.

I was in a crappy mood last week, but not too bad now :)
