I went into the copy room today to see my co-worker trying to upload a list of names and phone numbers to a dialer we have (you know, one of those annoying things that calls your house at dinner time). We have to call parents and give them reminders about picking up/dropping off their children. Anyway, I've shown her how to use this machine several times. When I walked into the room I noticed she was blankly staring at the screen. I took note that the directions were not in front of her. I finished what I was doing, and I left.
I was in the kitchen about 15 minutes later and she comes in:
Co-Worker: A, can you show me how to use this dialer one more time?
Me: Are you reading the directions?
Co-Worker: *blank stare* Um, no.
Me: Read them.
She just walked away. I'm busy. The lady that works for me called in sick yesterday and today is her normal day off. My boss e-mailed me from his doctors office, he has pneumonia, and tomorrow we have 500+ local high school students coming for an event and it looks like I'm going to be one my own since he's sick. I've never done it before, but I'm not scared. They're just kids, right?
Happy Friday to you too.
