The Interview - by Fantastagirl

Tug interviewed Fantastagirl, and I asked her to interview me.....

1) You are currently going to school and working - how long will it take you to get your desired degree? and what do you want to be when you are done?
I graduate May 9th(16 days from today) with my Associates degree. In July I will start taking summer classes toward my Bachelors degree. I won't graduate with my Bachelors degree until 2010. Once I finish my bachelors degree, I want to get my masters, which will probably be 2013. I graduated from high school in 2004 and started taking classes in January before I graduated in May. In total it will take me 9 years to get my Masters degree as I've been going part time and working full time. However, I never take a summer off and I have a 3.5 GPA. (I'm seriously a professional student!) When I'm done, I want to teach communication studies courses part time at the university level, and do public speaking full time. I really want to help motivate young people, so motivational public speaking is my goal, eventually!

2) What are you looking for in a man?
Oh, this question is good. It seems like all I find is losers. I'm not too picky, I just want a man that has a job, a plan, and treats me like I deserve to be treated. I've been coming up sorta empty handed. I'm beginning to think I dated the wrong brother, Michael's brother is motivated, runs the family business, and treats me like a princess....but we're just friends and that is all we will ever be....I assure you. Dating brothers is just nasty.

3) You have a done a great job of sticking with WW - (I'm very proud of you for sticking with it!) how do you do it every week, and what keeps you from saying - "awww screw it" when it comes to losing weight?
It's rough. This last month has been especially tough on me. I've gained 4.6 lbs. Currently I'm working on getting my focus back. Journaling is the key to loosing weight, as soon as I stop journaling....I gain. It's a vicious cycle. You also have to drink your water. Every time I look at my size 14s versus my size 18s, I think of what a size 9 would feel like...then I eat some carrot sticks. Ha ha! I guess seeing where I am helps me stick to it, and knowing that I can get the end result I so desire if I just keep going.

4) Quick - all foods are zero points - what would you eat?
CANDY! One of my biggest cravings while on Weight Watchers is a Hershey bar like once a week...especially around my least-favorite time of the month. After doing it for so long, the cravings start to fad or you start craving things like fat free pop corn or 1 point fudge bars. Ha ha.

5) Where do you see yourself in five years?
In 5 years I'll be 26. Eek! Hopefully 1/2 way through with my Masters in Communication Studies and maybe married or planning my wedding. (Cross your fingers for me!)

6) Bonus question - answer or don't - WHY did you get a motorcycle???? what the hell where you thinking??? (did I sound too much like a mom - sorry?)
Well, my dad and my brother have motorcycles. My mom and my sister-in-law ride with them and I'm usually stuck at home. It was nice when I was dating Michael and I rode with him, but since we're not together anymore, I'm stuck at home while they're all out riding their bikes. Now that I have my own, I can join them! Plus, I'm not your "typical" girl. I can be girly, but I think it's cool that I'm a chick and I ride a bike- you don't see that very often.

If anyone else wants to play along:

  • Leave me a comment saying, “Interview me.”
  • I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
  • You will update your weblog with the answers to the questions.
  • You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
  • When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

Thanks Fantastagirl, it was fun!
