I'm being RaNdOm...

Alright, I'm being completely random today. I don't exactly have a single subject to blog on, but rather a few different things to touch on, talk about, bitch....the usual.

First, our "icy" weather yesterday was a bust. I woke up to below freezing temperatures and 2 inches of freezing rain on my car. My Mom called at 6 and said that we weren't leaving just yet and she would let me know something more towards 7. At 7 she called back and said she was coming to get me because she didn't want me to chance wrecking my car. I put up a fuss and drove to her house, just fine I might add! We got to work at 8:30, only 30 minutes late. I defiantly could have called in because every school on my end of the county was closed, but in the giant metropolis where I worked it was just raining and there was no snow. I feared they wouldn't believe me if I called in. I have a picture to prove it!

Anyway, yesterday was another boring, long day at work. I had Weight Watchers immediately after work which brought more good news! I'm down 2.4 more pounds! I've lost a total of 42.6 pounds since May 2006. Only 43 more to go! After Weight Watchers I hurried back to my parents house to eat some food quick, then the Future SIL and I had a fire company meeting from 7-8:30. I was supposed to go to Duncan's after the meeting to watch "The OC" with him, but he called a little after 5 to let me know he had to work late. The handy thing is that he works directly on the main road we take to get home every night. When we went by after Weight Watchers at 6:30 his car was still there, after the fire meeting we went to Wendy's to get Frosty's around 8:30 and his car was still there. It's amazing, I've actually found one that tells the truth! :)

I was bummed about not getting to see him last night, but in the voice mail he left on my phone he sounded genuinely apologetic and he really can't help it when he has to work overtime. He also said he would call me "sometime today." With him, that sometime can be anytime. I'm just going to wait and see. It is very likely that he will go home and go straight to bed tonight considering he worked 13+ hours yesterday, then his 8 hours today and he has to work on Saturday too.

I don't have any big, exciting plans for this weekend. Scott and Karrie (Brother and Future SIL) bought a house. They find out their closing date today. We're going appliance shopping tonight and for some unknown reason I'm excited. It's probably because I'm old and the idea of a new refrigerator is exciting, plus we're spending someone elses money. I'm a much better shopper when it isn't my money!

Saturday we're supposed to go to AreaCross racing with Duncan and his brothers. I'm not sure the specific details yet or even if we're actually going to go- so it looks like Saturday night plans are up in the air.

On a totally separate note, I bought some of that new Sunsilk shampoo that they advertise on TV. They talk about getting "hairapy" (like therapy). That stuff works! With this damp, crappy weather we've been having my hair has been limp and ugly. I bought the volumizing shampoo and it made my hair look 10 times better!

Well, I have a 2 page paper to write from Environmental Biology before 5 so I can be lazy all weekend. I better get to work.
