Christmas Craziness....

Before I rant about 'Christmas Craziness', I have to tell you that Duncan is my boyfriend! It became official on Saturday night. Everything is going great!

Now, Christmas Craziness.....

I really don't like the mood I am in this time of year due to finals. They stress me out and make me worry far to much. I loose sleep because I worry about my grades, my deadlines and the upcoming holidays. Since this semester will ultimately determine my graduation status, I'm even more stressed then ever before.

I laid in bed on Saturday night thinking about how I haven't started Christmas shopping yet. But now, on Tuesday, I'm done! I ordered everything online from work yesterday. I'm finished! :) When I get paid on the 15th I have to buy 2 gift cards, then I'm officially done! Now comes the stress of wrapping everything, I really don't like wrapping. I'd much rather put everything in gift bags! However, I'm going to have a wrapping party as soon as everything gets here in the next couple of weeks. It's all supposed to arrive by the 19th, so hopefully that's what happens.

I went Christmas shopping with Duncan last night, and he got his done, except for one brother. We're going to go on the 15th and get his gift, then he'll be done too. I believe we're going to wrap all his Christmas presents tonight while we're watching TV. He left them in my car so they couldn't be found.

Then, there are the Christmas plans. First, my Moms birthday is the 20th, so we will do something nice for her, but those plans still aren't decided. Then, my brother is going to Pennsylvania to Christmas with Karrie's family and while he's there he is going to have Christmas with my Grandparents. Then, my Grandparents are driving down here on Saturday night (12/23) to be here by Christmas eve. We're going to have Christmas as a family on Christmas day, minus my brother. My mom was telling me her well thought out plans and I said "Well, then maybe I will go to Duncan's on Christmas morning and I can cook and we can have Christmas in the evening with Grandma and Grandpa." Nope, she didn't like that. She gave me some speech about my Grandparents driving all the way down here and having to wait until the evening to give me my presents. I'm getting older, so it's really not that big of a deal to me. I can wait until the evening. I suggested going to Duncan's because I know his family will do it in the morning and we would like to spend Christmas together, as a couple. If I do Christmas at the same time as him, it won't be much fun. Do I have a point? Besides, every year I cook a Christmas dinner and everyone comes to my house to eat, so why not exchange presents before or after dinner? Why does everything have to be so complicated?

I'm not going to stress about it, I know when it gets closer to Christmas I'll have plenty of time to stress!

Then, there are finals. I've got one in Biology tomorrow night. I found out this morning from a friend that the final will be open book. Good! Whew! I'm much more at ease about it, however- he has never told us our progress in the course so I don't really know where I'm 'sitting' grade wise. I've done really well on all my tests, (90 or above), however, he drops some grades, I've missed some labs, etc. I'd really like to know my status, but I guess I will have to wait until final grades arrive in the mail. Ugh.

My teacher in one of my online classes has a baby this semester and everything has been crazy. She deleted the last assignment and the last test. Now all I have to do is take the final. :) I still have to take 2 tests in Statistics this week, then the final on Monday (12/11). I'm not looking forward to that. I'm pretty sure I will do fine- but I don't like stress. I still have to write a 4 page paper for my other online class and take the final. I'm going to be so glad after Monday when all my classes are finished and all I have to do is wait until I get my final grades in the mail. Since 3 of my classes are online, I will get those grades before my Biology grade. Wish me luck!

I'm cooking dinner tonight for my boyfriend. :) First, we're going to walk our usual 2 miles, then I'm going to cook, wrap presents and watch TV. It should be a nice night in.

I'm ready for Friday!
Ashley

Yeah - you have a new BOYFRIEND...

Now you know why I am dreading Christmas - having to be in so many places all on the same day. At least you are relatively close - and not HOURS apart.
